Poland is the place of birth for Robert Kubica. He has the honor to be the first Polish driver to come and show his driving skills in Formula One. It all started in 2000 when he was starting his professional career in Formula Renault 2000 car. There he claimed four races and came at the second place while participating in Italian Formula Renault 2000.

However, things really turned amazing for him when he became a test driver in BMW Sauber F1 Team until 2006 when he got the chance to drive for the BMW Sauber F1 Team and became the first racing driver from the country of Poland. Becoming a racing driver from a test driver was certainly something out of the ordinary kind of a thing. Jacques Villeneuve, who was a team mate of Robert Kubica, was supposed to be unfit for the race and that became the excuse for Kubica to get promoted as a race driver to take the place of his team mate.

He carried on with his journey until he took part in 2006 Italian Grand Prix to become the very first driver from Poland to claim the third position in the race which was his third race. His forth race was in 2006 which was Chinese Grand Prix where he was not been able to show his true colors and finished at 13th place. But that was nothing to do with his racing abilities as it was just because of wrong decision of changing tyres at wrong time.

It was all going well for him until 2007 when he took part in 2007 Canadian Grand Prix where he had a serious accident. This accident was the major reason for him to not been able to race at Indianapolis. However, he came back to take part in Australian Grand Prix in 2008, but, finally, another collision became the reason for him to stay out of his race. However, he did claim second position in Malaysian Grand Prix along with his first pole position in 2008 Bahrain Grand Prix with his latest race in 2008 Canadian Grand Prix where he claimed his first victory.
