Lewis Carl Davidson Hamilton is the name of a British driver who took part in 24 races and claimed 6 wins along with 8 pole positions with total of 147 career points. When it comes to commitment, Lewis Hamilton is the name to look at. His resoluteness was the main ingredient that helped him to earn the place at which he is standing right now. He holds quite a few records and one of them is quite unique which implies that he is the first mixed race driver who has acquired a chance to compete in a formula one race. In 2007, he became a McLaren F1 driver and he claimed this position after showing great skills in European Formula Three, British Formula Renault and GP2 championship. He claimed victory in these aforementioned races which earned him the privilege to drive McLaren F1.

His quest for the best started when he was approached by Ron Dennis who was McLaren F1 team boss for McLaren driver development program. He showed some great progress right from his early racing days and were made the member of ‘Rising Star’ by the British Racing Drivers’ Club in 2000. British Formula Renault Winter Series was the competition where he first started his car racing career in real sense which was in the year 2001 and finished at the fifth place.

It was all really well for him, but he did had his share of bad lucks. He was not given the permission to race in France on December 2007 when he was going over the limits pertaining to speed on a French motorway. Previously, he did have a clash with McLaren in 2004 when he was dropped by McLaren. However, he did manage to come out from all those problems as he reappeared in 2004 Formula Three Euroseries and rejoined McLaren. His association with McLaren is still as strong as he has just raced a debut race in Australian Grand Prix to claim the third place in the race. However, it was the Canadian Grand Prix where he created the history by scoring first pole position to get the first victory in F1 career of him.
